    The Shakemaster has landed

DK is in Lagos now ready to promote forthcoming single and video "Waa Last"

Nigerian-born and London-based singer/songwriter DK (aka Don Kolionny) has just arrived in Lagos, Nigeria, where he will spending the next couple of months to
promote his new single "Waa Last", which was produced by Skillz of the mighty Big Boyz Entertainment (aka JJC) who also directed the soon-to-be-launched video. DK
has already being hailed as the "African Ne-Yo" and "Waa Last" is an infectious Afrocentric love song in which he declares his never-ending love to the girl of his
    dream.

The debut single and video by hot, new African R’n’B talent DK was called "Shake", a feel-good party song which invites the ladies to dance and party with DK - and of
course to shake to his infectious flow. The video - also produced and directed by Skillz - received massive airplay on Nigerian, African and UK TV, including MTV Base
Africa, Nigezie, BEN TV, Channel O, Monster TV, Primetime Jamz, Galaxy, AIT International, TV Intercontinental, Silverbird TV and Sound City, while the song has
been played on numerous radio stations, including BBC 1Xtra, Cool FM, Wazobia FM, Unilag FM to mention a few. The amazing support and feedback resulted in DK being
invited to perform at a number of prestigious concerts worldwide, such as the 11th Kennis Music Annual Easter Fiesta in Lagos on 10 April 2009 where he gave an
outstanding performance that rocked the house and was broadcasted live internationally. DK also performed at the Nigezie/ Palmbeach Easter Blaster concert
held at Lekki Beach, as well as at the 4th Annual Nigeria Entertainment Awards in Washington DC on 6 June 2009 where he gave another rousing performance further
enhancing his reputation as an entertainer with real class and swagger who is about to blow up the R'n'B scene.

DK has just finished recording his forthcoming debut album to be entitled "Don Kolionny" (which will of course feature both singles) and he has now returned to
Lagos to spend a few months there promoting his music and videos. He says about his trip: "I am hyper-excited to be going to Lagos to launch my new single. It's been a
lot of hard work getting the album ready and now that it's finally completed, I can't wait to get the ball rolling in Naija."

Born Kola Olatunji in Lagos, Nigeria, DK's love with music started at the tender age of 10 when he was the youngest member of his secondary school choir. Through his
father's record collection he was exposed to different styles of music as a child, such as Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, King Sunny Ade as well
as Gospel artists. DK started writing songs aged 15 and his first live performance was at Lekki Beach Carnival in Lagos with Green Squad, a group which included his
brother TK Rosky and friend Drillz. His songwriting talents developed further when he started playing the keyboard. On relocating to London in 2002 DK's love for
music flourished and he performed at open mic events at bars and clubs, including the well-known Suga Suga in London's West End. DK also began making beats and
eventually met a producer (Boogi3) with whom he co-produced some of the songs for his album. One of these songs, "2Nite", has already been featured on BBC 1Xtra on the UK Homegrown radio show, presented by taste-making DJ Ras Kwame. A major
influence on DK's music includes R. Kelly's style of free-flowing R'n'B and Maxwell's soulful delivery. DK has developed a powerful, unique song-writing and
singing style that enables him to deliver smooth R'n'B songs and hard-hitting party jams with ease, whilst his lyrics are made up of a blend of English and his native
    Yoruba language.
